I’m a paediatrician and clinical researcher at the Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic of CHU Sainte-Justine. My research focuses on long-term neurodevelopmental and physical health outcomes following preterm birth, from infancy to adulthood, looking a risk and resiliency factors along with best screening strategies to enhance clinical follow-up. We are following a cohort of young adults born preterm (HAPI – Health of Adults born Preterm Investigation) that allows us to identify innovative biomarkers and to study intervention such as exercise training for preventative purposes. With a multidisciplinary team, I have also developed a web-based health literacty platform - Mieux Agir au Quotidien - for parents of children born preterm to enhance knowledge transfer. I closely work with the Canadian Neonatal Follow-Up Network (CNFUN) for epidemiological studies and to better define health care needs of families of preterm infants.
