    Career Summary

Dr. Sébastien Perreault joined the Child Neurology service at CHU Sainte-Justine. After his residency,he completed a fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at Stanford University in California. He developped an expertise in treatment and long term follow-up of patients with brain tumor and neurological complications of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

He is currently conducting a pan-Canadian, multicentre phase II study of the treatment of refractory low-grade gliomas and plexiform neurofibromas with trametinib’imatinib mesylate. This study is supported by a CIHR grant. Dr. Perreault has developed expertise in targeted therapy for low grade gliomas and is actively participating in several international studies. Her research also focuses on improving the management of patients with neurofibromatosis and the evaluation of vision in patients with optic glioma.
