Clinico-administrative database for research in children (B-CARE)

B-CARE is a computer query tool to interrogate clinico-administrative databases, which allows the extraction and consolidation of patient data contained in various existing databases at the CHU Sainte-Justine for research use. It’s main objective is to create an infrastructure that can integrate research and clinical care. Under the strict supervision of the CHU Sainte-Justine research ethics committee, each research project must be approved and usually only access to encoded data will be provided. B-CARE creates an optimal environment where each patient becomes a potential research subject and can ultimately improve health care services.
