    Career Summary

    Following his training in Paris, France in Pediatrics and Immunology (Universités Pierre-et-Marie-Curie and Université Diderot), he started his career at the Department of Hemato-Immunology and Bone Marrow Transplant at the Robert-Debré Hospital in Paris. In 2001, he joined the CHU Sainte-Justine hemato-oncology team and more specifically its hematopoietic transplant program. He created and manages the CHU Sainte-Justine Groupe de recherche en transplantation et greffe de sang de cordon.

    His research interests include cord blood and cord blood transplant immunology, in addition to palliative care, pain and communication ethics. Dr. Duval has authored more than 40 scientific articles. His research has been funded by the FRSQ and the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau.
