    Career Summary

    Farida Cheriet, PhD, has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the École Polytechnique Montréal since June 1999. She is also a member of the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center and a regular member of the Institut de génie biomédical. She runs the Imaging and 4D Vision Laboratory (LIV4D) in the Department of Computer Engineering at the École Polytechnique Montréal. Recently she received a New Opportunities Grant (CFI) and will set up a new non-invasive active vision orthopedics laboratory (LAVIANI) at the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center. Her research interests concern medical imaging, image processing, 3D reconstruction and surface modeling of anatomical structures, multimodal image fusion in the biomedical field, calibration techniques and the autocalibration of X-ray systems.
