    Career Summary

    His interest in research and molecular biology began during his BSc in Molecular Biology at the University of Sherbrooke (1983-1986). In 1984 and 1985 he worked in Martha Sue’s laboratory at the Montreal Cancer Institute during the summer. Transplantation has been another of his fields of interest since the beginning of his surgical training in 1991. After residency in surgery, he did his fellowship in pediatric surgery and transplantation. His clinical graft research was done on renal graft at the Montreal University Hospital Center. He is now working on a study of hepatocyte transplantation in the LEC rat. The hepatocytes will soon be replaced by stem cells that will be isolated in the laboratory.
