    Title

    • Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Montreal.
    • Researcher, CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center.

    Education

    • Postodoctorate in Neurology, Harvard Medical School, 2003.
    • PhD in Neuropsychology, University of Montreal, 2000.
    • MSc in Psychology, University of Montreal, 1997.
    • BSc in Psychology, University of Montreal, 1995.

    Research Interests

I completed a PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Montreal in 2000. This was followed by a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Following three years as Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, I came back to the University of Montreal where I am currently Associate Professor of Psychology as well as member of the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center.

My research program focuses on motor cortex neurophysiology. I study the effects of traumatic brain injury on the integrity of inhibitory and excitatory intracortical circuits. I also aim at better understanding the motor mechanisms associated with the observation of movements performed by others. The techniques used in my laboratory include transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroencephalography and magnetic resonance imaging.
