Mickaël Begon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Université de Montréal. He is a Research Scholar – Junior 1 of the FRQS.
Through biomechanical tools such as motion analysis and examination of the peripheral nervous system (electromyography), he works on rehabilitating the walking function as well as musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder. He is also interested in developing new human body modeling methods to provide more suitable techniques for patients, and in the evaluation of muscle force generating human movement.
His work led to the design of an innovative dynamic shoulder orthosis, as well as to recommendations for individualized rehabilitation protocols used to treat patients.
