    Career Summary

    Dr. Isabelle Boucoiran is an obstetrician-gynecologist at the CHU Sainte-Justine and a member of the infectious diseases committee of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada.

    After a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at UdeM, and a fellowship in infectious diseases of reproduction at the University of British-Columbia, she joined the School of Public Health at UdeM and the department of obstetrics-gynecology at CHU Sainte-Justine, where she is co-director of the Center for Mother-Child Infectiology, provincial reference for congenital infections.

    She is a FRQS Junior 2 clinician-researcher, with funding from CIHR, FRQS and NIH. She is the mentor of several medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students and young clinician-scientists. And is involved in several national and international networks (Canadian Preterm Birth Network, Infectious Diseases Committee of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada, CANCOVID-PREG...).

    Research topics and interests 

    Her transdisciplinary research program focuses on the prevention of congenital infections and the improvement of the care of pregnant women with acute or chronic infections.
