Association between Transfusion-Related Hypotensive Reactions (TRHRs) and Kinins in Platelet Concentrates (PCs)

The aim of this project is to measure the level of bradykinins in platelet concentrates that have caused a hypotensive reaction and compare them with bradykinin levels in platelet concentrates that have not caused a post-transfusion hypotensive reaction.

Main Objectives

If bradykinin levels are higher in platelet concentrates that have caused a drop in blood pressure, this could lead to therapeutic interventions to prevent or minimize these reactions.
