Risk perception, knowledge, prevention behaviours, and barriers among adolescents and young adults in Quebec

The number of cases of COVID-19 has increased rapidly in the last few days and several emergency measures have been taken at the national and provincial levels to prevent transmission of the virus.

Project goal

The main objective will be to assess the level of perceived risk of COVID-19 and the associated factors among adolescents and young adults in Quebec.

The secondary objectives will be to :

  • Describe the level of knowledge about the disease, the symptoms and the prevention measures.
  • Describe the level of compliance with these measures
  • Describe the strategies put in place to better overcome the social distance.

Criteria for inclusion

  1. Be a teenager or young adult between the ages of 14 and 22 living in Quebec.
  2. Be able to understand and write English or French.
  3. Have access to the Internet to complete the questionnaire.

The data will be collected in the questionnaire which will be administered online via an electronic link (https://jantchou.com/covid19/).

In order to encourage participation, 3 participants will be drawn at random for a 12-month Netflix subscription from among the participants who will have completed all the questions in the questionnaire.

This questionnaire will allow you to assess your level of knowledge about VIDOC-19 and to receive more information about it. You will also help us improve prevention measures for VIDOC-19 for adolescents.

In addition, if you complete the questionnaire, you could win one of 3 1-year Netflix subscriptions!
