New approaches to the treatment of scoliosis

Montreal, December 10, 2010. – The names of three researchers of the CHU Sainte-Justine have been highlighted in an article published by the Faculty of Medicine in the thematic issue on personalized medicine and patient-as-partner. Dr Hubert Labelle, Dr Carl-Eric Aubin and Dr Alain Moreau are all members of the Musculoskeletal Diseases and Movement Sciences Research Axis of the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center. A multidisciplinary approach has enabled them to develop specific intervention strategies for patients with scoliosis: surgical and custom corset simulation, development and progression of the diseases peculiar to each person with scoliosis.
