Record Number of Prizes Awarded at the Research Center's XXVth Student Conference

Montreal, June 3, 2010 More than 200 students attended the XXVth Conference of the Graduate and Post-Graduate Student Association of the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center this past May 26. The annual event represents a privileged opportunity for the students to present their work to the Center’s scientific community in the form of oral and poster presentations. To round off the exceptional day, Mylène Paquette, the first woman from Québec to have rowed across the Atlantic from east to west, gave a talk that was highly appreciated by the students.

This year we handed out a record number of prizes. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ), the Réseau en santé cardiovasculaire-FRSQ (RSCV), the Network of Applied Genetic Medicine (Réseau de médecine génétique appliquée - RMGA), the Rehabilitation Research Network (Réseau provincial de recherche en adaptation-réadaptation – REPAR-FRSQ), the Respiratory Health Network of the FRSQ (Réseau en santé respiratoire - RSR), the Réseau en santé de la vision (RSV) as well as the Network for Oral and Bone Health Research (Réseau de recherche en santé bucco-dentaire et osseux) for their generous contribution. Finally, a special thanks to the many members of the jury without whom we could not have awarded these prizes.
