Announcement of the Winners of the 30th Research Congress Presentation Competition of Graduate and Postgraduate Students

MONTREAL, June 4, 2015 – The CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center affiliated with the Université de Montréal announced today the winners of the oral and poster presentation competition that took place this past May 27 during the 30th Research Congress of Graduate and Post Graduate Students in Research at CHU Sainte-Justine. Out of the 108 students, 22 were attributed an award for their presentation. They were evaluated by a jury of 35 members, to which the Research Center wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude.

The prestigious FRQS award for the student with the best oral presentation was bestowed to Ankush Madaan, a doctoral student in pharmacology under the supervision of Dr. Sylvain Chemtob. The award recognizes the excellence of his scientific work, as well as the clarity and didactic value of his presentation.

The event gathered about 270 people who attended 15 oral presentations and more than 90 poster presentations. It was an opportunity for students, fellows and clinical research nurses to share the progress of their work in various fields.

The Research Center wishes to thank for their support the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), the Network of Applied Medical Genetics, the Réseau de recherche en santé cardiométabolique, diabète et obésité (CMDO), the Quebec Rehabilitation Research Network and the TheCell (Cell and Tissue Therapy) FRQS Network, BioLegend, Eppendorf, New England Biolabs, PeproTech, Sarstedt, Thermo Fisher Scientific Life Technologies, Fisher Scientific, QIAGEN, and Leica Microsystems.
