Submitting an application

Applicants can prepare their application file in French or English. The file must contain the following elements:

  1. a duly completed application form that indicates the applicant’s studentship choices in order of preference;
  2. a cover letter that describes the applicant’s career plan, interest in biomedical research and interest in pursuing graduate studies as well as the reasons (Maximum of one page per cover letter).
    It is preferable to submit one single cover letter for all internships, but if the selected internships are very different from one another, it is also possible to submit a letter for each chosen internship;
  3. a detailed curriculum vitae of the applicant’s previous research experience and honors received, if applicable;
  4. the applicant’s most recent university transcripts (with the names of the university courses completed to date as well as the grades obtained). Unofficial transcripts are accepted.
    1. For medical students who do not have access to their current studies transcripts, the latest available transcript is accepted.
  5. A copy of your study permit (if applicable). The study permit should be valid in Quebec for the entire duration of the internship and the specification "Not authorized to work in childcare, primary/secondary school teaching, health services field occupations," must not be indicated on the study permit.

Complete applicant files must be submitted as a SINGLE PDF FILE with the following title:

NAME_First Name_Summer internship 2021

E.g. : SMITH_John_Summer intership 2021

The submission of applications must be made via the online form.

The candidate has the responsibility to ensure completeness of his file.

Research Directorate reserves the right to reject any incomplete application.
