    Career Summary

After her bachelor and master’s in science, Sophie Tremblay started her MD. During her training as a paediatrician and neonatologist, she developed an interest in preterm brain development, having seen first hand the devastating consequences of neonatal brain damages on the extremely preterm infants. She therefore dedicated herself to establish a research program to develop translational pre-clinical models that will ultimately improve the care and health of infants born preterm. She is particularly interested in understanding how the developing brain is influenced by the innate immune system and inflammatory stressors.
