    • Adjunct Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Addictology, University of Montreal
    • Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, McGill University

    Education

    • Postdoctoral research fellow, Department of Psychiatry, McGill University, Montreal, 2005-2009
    • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, University of Leiden, the Netherlands, 2001-2005

    • Masters in Clinical Psychology, University of Leiden, 1997-2000

    Research Interests

My research program focuses on neurobiological mechanisms of psychopathology. In my current research, I study the impact of early childhood adversity on brain development and epigenetic processes, as well as the risk of developing psychological disorders, particularly eating disorders.

The research methodology I use is based on a combination of epidemiological approaches and experimental studies (fMRI neuroimaging, PET, genetics, epigenetics, behavioral and cognitive measures).
