Our Researchers in the Media

Time Magazine in its December 7, 2009, issue published a special report “The Year in Health 2009 > A to Z,” summarizing last year’s highlights. Dr. Linda Pagani’sresearch on gambling appears under the letter G. Her findings were made public in March 2009 and her work established a link between hyperactivity and inattentiveness behavior observed in kindergarten children and a higher likelihood of playing games for money starting at the end of Grade six around the age of 11. The prospective and longitudinal study began in 1999 and included 163 Montreal kindergarten children with a mean age of 5.5 years.

Dr. Pagani, a psychologist who works in the Brain Diseases research axis, focuses on the development of childhood psychopathologies.
