Nanopore technology long fragment sequencing

The Nanopore sequencing platform was established in order to bring the power of Nanopore sequencing to clinical research at CHU Sainte-Justine.

With the latest and most powerful sequencing technology, the platform can cater to any sequencing requests. We have experience in sequencing projects across a range of organisms and applications and can help tailor the best genomic solution for any sequencing experiment. We can deliver comprehensive sequencing solutions across a range of multi-omic applications leveraging the unique properties of Oxford Nanopore sequencing.

  • 1 x PromethION P24 - High Throughput and scalable Oxford Nanopore Technologies Sequencer
  • 1x PromethION A-Series - High-performance compute tower
  • 2x MinION - Portable USB sequencer
  • 1x MinION MK1C - Portable standalone sequencer
  • 1x OpenTrons OT2 Liquid Handler – Programmable liquid handling robot with magnetic, thermal, and thermocycler modules
  • 1x Agilent TapeStation 4150 – Automated fragment analyzer
  • 1x Thermo Fisher Qubit 4 – High sensitivity fluorometric quantification
  • 1x Thermo Fisher NanoDrop – Microvolume spectrophotometer

Services offered

  • Preparation of libraries and Sequencing: Genomes, methylomes, transcriptomes, DNAc, plasmids, PCR amplicons, HLA typing, single-cell libraries.
  • Ultra long read DNA sequencing: Sequencing ultra-long reads (N50 >50 kb)
  • Direct RNA Sequencing: Sequencing native RNA for the identification of RNA modifications, alternative splicing analysis, transcriptome profiling, single cell expression profiling
  • Multiplex Sequencing solutions: Sequencing of larger batches of samples
  • Bioinformatics expertise: Data analysis and transfer, executing predefined workflows, developing custom workflows.
  • Sequencing Project Consultation: Determining the optimal technique for sequencing experiments.
  • Rigorous quality control and maximum efficiency

Services are offered to academic institutions, as well as pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries interested in sequencing.

Notice: the services offered by the nanopore sequencing platform should not be used to make a clinical diagnosis as part of standard patient care.

Fees

Personalized prices for each project according to the sequencing details, the number of samples, the duration of the project and the researcher's affiliation (internal, academic, private).
